Macaroni and Cheese a Quick Family favorite

This delicious yet simple mac n cheese recipe comes from my husbands Aunt. Aunt Mary’s Mac n Cheese is requested every time we get together. After many attempts and watching Aunt Mary make it over and over again, I finally got it right! I would be selfish not to share with you guys!!!

What you’ll need:

– 1 pound of elbow noodles
-1/2 stick of butter
-4 cups of mild shredded cheese
-1 can of evaporated milk
-4 eggs
-Salt & Pepper to taste

Preparation:

*Preheat oven to 350 degrees
*Lightly butter a deep 2 ½ quart baking dish or spray with cooking oil
*Fill a large pot with water, bring to a boil
*Add macaroni and 1 tablespoon of butter
*Boil for 7 minutes or until tender
*Remove from heat, drain water, and set aside
*Melt ½ of stick of butter in saucepan
*In large bowl mix macaroni, melted butter, cheese about 3 cups, eggs, salt (to taste), pepper (to taste), and evaporated milk. Make sure there is enough milk to cover noodles so it does not dry out you may also add regular milk.
*Pour all in a baking pan that was lightly buttered in step 2
*Sprinkle remaining cheese on top
*Bake for 40-45 mins or until edges are golden brown and bubbly
